It is January 1984, when the specially modified Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 4x4 completes the Paris-Dakar desert rally, one of the most extreme courses in the world, in record time. Drivers René Metge and Dominique Lemoyne win the sixth edition of the rally with a spectacular lead of over two hours. The vehicle becomes a legend.

Revived

Exactly 40 years later, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur revisits the legend and produces a new Dakar Edition based on the current Porsche 911, with 353 kW of power and a total weight of 1,960 kg. With only 2,500 units already strictly limited, one customer desired further customization of the sporty all-wheel-drive vehicle and brought studiokurbos on board.

Together with the customer and Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, the studiokurbos team developed a bespoke color and material design, conceived from the inside out. The starting point is the upholstery of the bucket seats in blue-green, Scottish-inspired tartan fabric from the Porsche collection. The classic "Porsche Racing Green Metallic" paint of the bodywork is derived from this, with the subtle metallic effect connecting the traditional essence of the color with the present.

Dakar Perfection

Gold tones are introduced in an elegant yet refreshing manner. The seat stitching features a golden hue, and a rear roll cage adds another shimmering gold accent. Outside, the sporty-dynamic wheels provide a clear statement. Dakar logos at the rear and decorative elements on the front headlights also feature gold, serving as cohesive accents.
