In a friendly match against Notts County, the oldest professional football club in the world, we will not only be celebrating 125 years of football history, but also the premiere of the new Stuttgart Kickers home jersey for the 2025/26 season. Together with Stuttgart Kickers and equipment supplier uhlsport, studiokurbos was commissioned to design the new home jersey for the 2025/26 season. This project went far beyond a classic design task for us – because it was about translating the history and character of a traditional club into a modern, wearable statement.

Clear
and
Concise
The new home jersey is a homage to the legendary design of the 1996/97 season. The vertical stripes in classic Kickers blue, combined with a deep navy blue, pick up on familiar design elements and interpret them in a modern and precise way. A special detail: the mirrored pixels – inspired by the historic model – represent the club's digital present. The design is complemented by a clear statement on the chest: "Here's to the Blues!" – a visible sign of pride, regionality and attitude.

For us at studiokurbos, it was clear from the outset that this jersey had to do more than just look good – it also had to feel right. That's why the design process was closely intertwined with the club and its fans. Through joint discussions, shared stories and constructive debates, a design emerged that authentically reflects the character of the club. Because there is no football without the fans. Designed by Charis Mania and Katharina Otto from our CMF team, the task was to strike a balance between history, fan culture and contemporary product design – and to express this in a clear, functional jersey.

How do you make attitude visible? How do you sum up 125 years of football history? Our vision was to design a jersey that isn't just worn – but that means something. For the players on the pitch. For the people in the stands. And for a city that stands behind its club. The jersey is locally inspired and emotionally charged: designed in Stuttgart, for Stuttgart – in the middle of Schlossplatz, right in the heart of the city. For us, design is successful when it strengthens identity and creates closeness. This jersey does exactly that.
