Experience
studiokurbos is designing the sound experience for the next generation of vehicles for Warwick Acoustics. With new design freedoms, fascinating sound experiences, immersive sound for everyone, and energy efficiency, the British specialist Warwick Acoustics produces electrostatic audio panels that free the vehicle interior from traditional speakers. We have developed a generic interior to showcase the innovation of future immersive sound technology.

Our generic interior concept for Warwick Acoustics uniquely combines technology and aesthetics. Invisible acoustic panels not only provide excellent sound but also introduce a new dimension to the vehicle interior. This technology produces sound over a large area, at multiple points across the front section, around the A, B, and C pillars, and of course, in the headrests. The panels are hidden beneath surface materials. Warwick Acoustics and studiokurbos present three concept variations where great sound and clean surfaces are not at odds—wood veneer, metal mesh, and 3D-printed structures. Sustainability is the new premium.

Technology
The hexagonal panels use patented electrostatic transducer technology and enable new interior experiences with their thin profile of just eleven millimeters. The sound modules are integrated invisibly into surface materials. Christoph Kunz from the Automotive and Product Design team highlights the new design freedoms for interior design. The studiokurbos concept demonstrates how sound technology, through different materials like wood, leather, and felt, can create a warm aesthetic in the car and explores the acoustic interplay of these materials. The hexagon shape of the acoustic panels is often visible as a design element.

The Warwick interior shows how functional elements can elegantly recede into the background using the Shy-Tech principle. It allows for personalized sound zones for all occupants, regardless of seat arrangement. Invisible acoustic panels create a new, lounge-like feel. With Warwick Acoustics' thin electrostatic audio panels, a minimalist, elegant interior with a unique sound experience is achieved. The future of vehicle interiors is here and sounds better than ever.
