Transformation
AMG GT
roadster
The transformation of an AMG GT R Roadster into a road legal high-performance sports car. Inspired by Formula 1, the character of this super sports car is defined by bold and prominent lines. The integration and redesign of many features required a wide range of design competence in different disciplines and engineering excellence.

Among many new highlights, these ones are the most noticeable: The non-existing roof alongside the "Speedbow" halo-type roll bar, which integrates an LED light bar and smart controls. The Speedbow is inspired by the F1 halo. It is an essential part of the conversion, a necessary part in terms of safety and it strengthens the car`s racing character.

production
We implemented several modifications including the removal of the roof and addition of a Formula 1-inspired "speedbow" with control and lighting function. Adding side air vents and air scoops from the AMG GT R Pro to the front fenders marks racing moves, as do the speedster windshield, cockpit protection, and trunk lid modifications.

finish design
Several elements were developed exclusively for this project and made out of premium quality materials. The interior design features contrasting stitching and several trim parts that match the exterior color. We developed a signature pattern exclusively for this vehicle, which is reflected in the leather perforation, the exterior sound module as well as the Speedbow.

"For me, the Bussink GT R Speedlegend is the perfect visual fusion of the history of a great automotive brand in motorsport with the full everyday functionality of a completely open super sports car."
