Cross
Culture
For many years, we've published our studiokurbos magazine for clients and partners at different intervals, a large-format print statement: What we do, where we are, where we're headed. Each issue, based on our timeless corporate design created by Hochburg, is unique and combines studiokurbos' visual style and spirit. Our iconic lion emblem looking toward the future and the striking neon pink come together in issue N°6 with our biggest motivator: Cross Culture.
Vision
Global
Progress
Since our founding, studiokurbos has operated as a cross-cultural design studio on a global market, establishing a branch in Shanghai in 2021 to deepen our understanding of people and their needs. Our teams in Stuttgart – now over 60 people from various disciplines – and our independent office in Shanghai work on shared projects, benefiting both sides. Through this collaboration, we’ve found that true cross-cultural exchange enriches everyone involved. Cross Culture is about mutual growth, not about imposing a single culture on others.
Design
Connected
Design
We value connection on many levels and design for the digital age. We create integrated user experiences with forward-thinking, intuitive display concepts that cater to human needs, desires, and dreams. By using tomorrow’s technologies, we make our clients’ future visions a reality. We blend function with emotion, interaction with technology. Our user interfaces connect the virtual and real worlds, aiming to build trust in future technologies and their applications.
PROJECT
Teamwork
Purism
Autonomy
Intercultural and interdisciplinary collaboration came together beautifully in the RUMBA project. Our interior and UI/UX design teams created a minimalistic vision of autonomy. The central feature is the "Loop," a horizontal band that acts as both display and control element, allowing all passengers to interact with each other. Traditional controls like steering wheels and instruments are absent, a clear design choice for a pure autonomous experience. It’s a philosophy of freeing the mind to explore instead of focusing on driving.

Expansion
Looking forward, studiokurbos will focus even more on the Cross Culture movement. This is just the beginning. Besides China, Africa, and India represent exciting opportunities for us. Collaborating with a design studio in Delhi has been inspiring, and the power of Cross Culture truly comes alive. We hope to encourage others to embrace these principles confidently. We’re happy to share our valuable experiences – let’s start a dialogue!
"I’m always on the move, and I believe that’s the only way to truly understand people and their needs."
